Job summary

Polaris Education - Easthorpe School in Nottinghamshire seeks an inspirational Headteacher to lead a specialist provision for 7-18-year-olds. You will shape educational strategy, safeguarding culture, and personalised learning across 12 classes and 50+ staff.

With QTS and strong SEN experience, you will drive GCSE/Functional Skills development, support EHCP objectives, and engage with parents and authorities to secure excellent outcomes for pupils and their families.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Primary/Secondary teaching experience
• Suitable first degree and/or NPQH (not essential)
• Experience working with SEN students and a deep understanding of their unique requirements
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Responsibilities

• Educational leadership to align with Polaris ethos and standards
• Safeguarding: be the Designated Safeguarding Lead and implement policies
• Curriculum enhancement to meet diverse student needs
• KS4 exam lead for GCSEs, Functional Skills, ASDAN
• Pastoral care and SEN advocacy with EHCP objectives
• Staff development and mentoring for 50+ staff
• Community engagement with parents and local authorities
