Job summary

Polaris Education - Easthorpe School is seeking an experienced Headteacher to lead and develop an independent specialist provision in the East Midlands. You will shape the educational vision, uphold safeguarding, and drive inclusive, personalised learning for pupils with SEMH and complex needs.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement with parents and authorities, and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Primary/Secondary teaching experience.
• Proven leadership skills and experience in managing teams.
• Experience working with SEN students and complex needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Educational Leadership: develop and implement the school vision aligned with Polaris ethos.
• Safeguarding: act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and ensure safeguarding standards.
• Curriculum Enhancement: tailor curriculum to meet diverse needs and ensure engaging learning.
• Exam Lead: oversee KS offerings and JCQ-aligned courses.
• Pastoral Care & SEN Advocacy: support emotional wellbeing and EHCP objectives.
• Staff Development: mentor and develop a strong staff team.
• Community Engagement: build relationships with parents, carers and authorities.
