Job summary

Bunscoill Ghaelgagh is seeking a Headteacher to lead a school at the heart of Manx language education. You will guide pupils, staff, parents and governors to embed Manx language across all aspects of school life and nurture curiosity, ambition and confidence in learners while upholding high teaching standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with education and language partners to grow Manx-medium education and broaden opportunities for children to learn through Manx.

You’ll work alongside pupils, staff, parents and governors to create an environment where the Manx language is woven through every aspect of school life. As the school's educational leader, you’ll nurture curiosity, ambition and confidence in young learners while ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and pupil support remain at the centre of everything the school does.

You’ll also work closely with education and language partners to support the continued development of Manx-medium education and expand opportunities for children to learn through the Manx language.

• A competitive salary that increases each 12 months until you reach the salary maximum.
• Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, you will be offered two pensions arrangements: the Teachers Superannuation scheme or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) arrangement.
