Job summary

Taste Hospitality Recruitment Limited is helping a prestigious country house hotel near Ambleside recruit a Head Waiter or Head Waitress to oversee dining room and bar service with a hands-on leadership approach. You will guide staff, maintain high service standards and drive guest satisfaction across all service moments.

Live-in accommodation is available, and the role carries a 45-hour week with 5 days over 7. Competitive salary plus gratuities up to £400/month and paid overtime are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-end hospitality service and luxury dining environments.
• Strong leadership, delegation and guest-service mindset.
• Ability to train, mentor and motivate a team on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant and bar service, including breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner.
• Direct and train team members; ensure polished, warm hospitality.
• Coordinate with kitchen and management for seamless service and upselling.
