Job summary

Taste Hospitality Recruitment Limited is recruiting an Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager for a prestigious Lake District country house hotel near Ambleside. This hands-on role supports the senior team to maintain exceptional service across restaurant and bar, including tasting menus and à la carte dining.

You will lead from the front with strong food and beverage knowledge, train staff, and ensure polished hospitality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality experience.
• Strong Food & Beverage knowledge.
• Ability to lead and train staff.
• Experience with tasting menus and high-end dining.

Responsibilities

• Support running of restaurant and bar operations.
• Lead service during breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner.
• Train and develop staff.
• Ensure exceptional guest service.
• Work closely with kitchen and management for seamless service.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism.
• Drive wine, beverage, and upselling opportunities.
