Job summary

Oswald’s in London seeks an experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to join our Front of House team, delivering exceptional fine-dining experiences for members and guests.

The role involves mastering table lay-up, guest welcome, and mentoring junior staff, with a focus on consistent service excellence and menu knowledge.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a luxury hotel, restaurant or private member’s club is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and guest-handling skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and efficient service to members and guests.
• Be fully conversant with table lay-up and mise-en-place.
• Welcome guests warmly and ensure a fine-dining experience from arrival to departure.
• Ensure colleagues deliver friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
• Supervise and train junior waiters on service standards, menu knowledge and guest etiquette.
• Provide detailed menu knowledge including ingredients and preparation methods.

In 2025, we expanded internationally with the opening of Maxime’s, alongside a new Birley Bakery in New York City. We are currently seeking a Head Waiter/ Waitress to join our Front of House team at Oswald’s, with the opportunity to earn up to £50,000 p/a!

Working Hours

• 5 day working week between Monday – Saturday on a rota basis.
• Bank Holidays and the Christmas period off – our venues are closed.

What You Will Do
