Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for its Coventry automotive head office. The candidate should be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with 3–6 years of post-qualification financial accounting experience and strong dealership accounting knowledge, including Autoline experience.

• Lead daily accounting operations and support the finance team to improve processes.
• Act as main finance contact for dealerships, Head Office, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Accounting Manager – Coventry -Automotive Head Office

We are recruiting for an experienced Accounting Manager, Financial Accounting Manager or Finance Manager to join a leading automotive retail group's Head Office in Coventry. Applicants must be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent), have 3–6 years' post-qualification financial accounting experience, strong dealership accounting knowledge, Autoline experience and the right to work in the UK.

Location: Coventry

Salary: £45,000 – £57,000 Basic

OTE: £45,000 – £57,000

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 4:45pm | Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Accounting Manager Role

• Manage financial accounting, management accounts, forecasting and Group reporting in line with UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Oversee month-end and year-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, journal reviews and accounting controls.
• Prepare and analyse profit and loss, balance sheet, stock and cash flow reports, investigating significant variances.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations, statutory returns and audit requirements.
• Lead daily accounting operations, supporting the finance team and improving financial processes.
• Act as the main finance contact for dealerships, Head Office, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Report to the Chief Accounting Officer, providing financial analysis, resolving complex queries and deputising when required.

Accounting Manager Requirements

• ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualified, or equivalent.
• 3–6 years' post-qualification financial accounting experience.
• Strong dealership accounting and automotive retail experience.
• Working knowledge of the Autoline Dealer Management System.
• Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Previous experience managing accounting processes and supporting finance teams.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
