Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd, recruiting on behalf of a reputable main dealer in Coventry, seeks a Senior Accountant to drive financial operations and enhance reporting and controls. Ideally you bring 3–6 years post-qualification experience in automotive or dealership accounting, along with ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
• Between 3 and 6 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Automotive or dealership accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Autoline DMS beneficial.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and lead the accounts team.
• Manage month-end, year-end and financial reporting activities.
• Prepare and analyse management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Ensure accurate reconciliations, journals and adherence to accounting controls.
• Handle intercompany reconciliations and statutory returns.
• Support dealerships and Head Office with financial reporting and queries.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Identify opportunities to optimise accounting processes and controls.
