Job summary

Elekta is seeking a Manager, UX Development to lead the global UX Development team, manage front-end efforts for core software products, and own the Design System and ECL. Based in Crawley, the role drives UX excellence across product lines and collaborates with product and engineering leaders.

You will mentor teams, evangelise user-centred design, and ensure high-quality, timely delivery while staying abreast of regulatory and tech developments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, HCI, or similar field
• 8+ years’ experience as a Senior/Lead UX Developer in complex products/services
• Experience managing a UX/Front-end Development team
• Experience developing and managing a component library or design system
• Knowledge of regulatory constraints in medical devices (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Line-manage a team of UX Developers, including hiring, performance management and career development
• Prioritise resourcing to maximise product UX and development efficiency
• Develop and maintain stakeholder networks across Product and Engineering
• Advocate user-centred design and present measurable business impact case studies
• Collaborate with UX Strategy & Design to align on design system adoption
• Ensure quality, on-time delivery of front-end work across product lines
• Oversee UI Monorepo, CI/CD, testing, internationalisation and accessibility
• Grow front-end engineering practices and evangelise UX/UI standards
• Stay current with medical devices regulations and front-end tech trends
