Job summary

The National Theatre is seeking a Head of Trusts & Foundations to lead a specialist fundraisers team within the Development Department in London. You will manage a portfolio of major grant givers and prospects, driving income growth and shaping strategy across the team and with the sister charity in America.

The successful candidate will have senior fundraising experience, proven relationship management skills, and a collaborative leadership style to help the NT increase support for its core

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing high-value relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across audiences.
• Experience in line management and developing colleagues in a fundraising team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Trust and Foundations fundraisers and manage a personal portfolio of major grant givers.
• Collaborate across the Development team to grow income and implement innovative strategies.
• Build relationships with foundation chairs, trustees, and high-net-worth individuals to secure funding.

Job Description

This is a senior role in the Development Department of the National Theatre, working collaboratively across the team to build a positive team culture and generate income for the National Theatre. The Head of Trusts and Foundations leads a team of specialist Trust and Foundation fundraisers, and manages a personal portfolio of major grant givers and prospects. The post-holder will build on the team’s current success as well as seek out and implement new, innovative strategies to grow the NT’s income.The role also collaborates closely with our sister charity, National Theatre in America, which raises funds for the National Theatre’s work in the US and the UK, offering exciting opportunities for income growth and personal development.

The successful candidates will have the following:
