Job summary

Culina is seeking a Head of Transport to lead our transport network, optimise fleet and resource performance, and deliver excellent service for customers and the business. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide leadership to the Transport Department and drive the budget, cost control and delivery of targets.

You will build strong stakeholder relationships and shape transport strategy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within transport, logistics or supply chain operations.
• CPC qualification with strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance.
• Proven experience managing large-scale transport operations and fleet activity.
• Track record of managing budgets and delivering cost efficiencies.
• Experience leading change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead transport operations to meet business, customer and service objectives.
• Manage budgets, control costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Develop transport strategies to optimise fleet performance and network efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, safety standards and policies.
• Lead, coach and develop transport teams for high performance.
• Monitor performance with KPIs and BI reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across the network.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to support wider business goals.
