Job summary

Culina is seeking a Head of Transport to lead our transport network, optimise fleet and resource performance, and deliver excellent service for customers and the business. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide leadership to the Transport Department and drive the budget, cost control and delivery of targets.

You will build strong stakeholder relationships and shape transport strategy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within transport, logistics or supply chain operations.
• CPC qualification with strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance.
• Proven experience managing large-scale transport operations and fleet activity.
• Track record of managing budgets and delivering cost efficiencies.
• Experience leading change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

We are looking for a Head of Transport to lead our transport network, optimise fleet and resource performance, and deliver an excellent service for our customers and the wider business. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide leadership and direction to the Transport Department and the wider transport operation. You will be accountable for the transport budget, cost control and the delivery of operational and financial targets.

• Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Lead, coach and develop transport teams to create a high-performing culture.
• Monitor and improve performance through clear KPIs, reporting and business intelligence.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational development initiatives across the network.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence decisions that support wider business objectives.

Requirements
