Job summary

Culina Group is seeking a Head of Transport to lead our transport network, optimise fleet and resource performance, and deliver outstanding service for customers and the broader business. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide leadership to the Transport Department, manage the budget, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with legislation, safety standards and company policies.

This is a senior role spanning multiple sites in the UK, with accountability for cost control, KPIs

Responsibilities

• Lead transport operations to deliver business, customer and service objectives.
• Manage transport budgets, control costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Develop and implement transport strategies that optimise fleet performance, network efficiency and resource utilisation.
• Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Lead, coach and develop transport teams to create a high-performing culture.
• Monitor and improve performance through clear KPIs, reporting and business intelligence.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational development initiatives across the network.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence decisions that support wider business objectives.
