Job summary

BGIS in City of London is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead engineering services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance across the portfolio. You will set technical direction, drive asset reliability, and support client relationships in a dynamic facilities management environment.

The role requires strong leadership across multiple sites, deep building services knowledge, and proven governance capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in facilities management within large contracts.
• Strong mechanical/electrical building services background.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory health and safety requirements.
• Proven ability to manage engineering teams across multiple sites.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Proficient in analysing technical data and delivering practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the building, ensuring delivery of all hard services per contract and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary technical advisor to operational teams, clients, and senior stakeholders.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve asset performance and building reliability.
• Drive best practice, sustainability, and continuous improvement across sites.
• Support Account Managers and Engineering Managers in delivering service excellence.
• Lead mobilisation activities for new contracts and service expansions.
