Our priority is the wellbeing and happiness of our colleagues, ensuring they enjoy their work environment and their life at Finova. We are a close-knit team who strive for the best in everything we do. We have grown considerably over the past couple of years as the business has grown so that we can provide a first-class service to our colleagues. We work closely alongside the business to partner with them in achieving their successes.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Talent Management to lead the design and delivery of Finova’s talent management and training curriculum. This role will define and implement a company-wide capability framework, accelerate internal talent development, and build structured learning pathways for both technical and non-technical populations. You will work closely with senior leadership and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and deliver scalable, blended learning programmes that enable performance, growth, and leadership at all levels.
What will you be doing?
• Define, design and deliver Finova’s internal curriculum to support technical upskilling, business capability, leadership development, and career progression.
• Design a structured onboarding and induction programme for new joiners across all business areas to accelerate integration and productivity.
• Own the training cycle end-to-end – including needs analysis, design, delivery (hands-on or via others), assessment, and impact measurement.
• Develop and implement a capability assessment framework that clearly defines skill levels and enables faster progression through defined career pathways.
• Create a company-wide skills matrix, identify gaps, and build targeted training plans to address capability needs and succession risk.
• Design and deliver high-impact learning interventions (e.g. workshops, labs, playbooks, coaching sessions) with a focus on real-world application.
• Lead the development of the “Finova Academy” – an internal platform to house all structured learning content, pathways, and knowledge resources.
• Work with external training providers to bring in specialist expertise as needed, ensuring ROI and alignment with business needs.
• Develop a clear roadmap of talent programmes, including emerging talent pipelines (e.g. graduates, apprenticeships) and technical/functional development.
• Track, analyse, and report learning impact, providing regular dashboards to the CHRO and Executive team.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, both internally and externally, ensuring Finova’s talent brand is synonymous with growth and development.
About You:
In terms of your experience, your attitude is everything, but we'd particularly love to see your:
• Proven experience in a talent development, learning or capability-building leadership role, ideally within a tech-led or financial services environment.
• A strong understanding of the full learning lifecycle – from needs analysis to impact reporting – and ability to deliver hands-on where needed.
• Experience developing or running an internal training academy or curriculum framework.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive a development-first mindset.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the flexibility to pivot and prioritise based on business needs.
• Desirable: Familiarity with regulatory training, technical upskilling (e.g. software engineering), and early talent development.
What We Offer:
Flexible Working: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, bank holiday trading and holiday purchase options, the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world for up to 4 weeks per year, and a flexible hybrid working policy.
Looking After You: Life Assurance, Group Income Protection, Private Medical Insurance, a pension scheme via Salary Exchange, an Employee Assistance Programme, and access to a Virtual GP.
Family-Friendly Policies: Enhanced maternity and paternity pay, as well as paid time off for fertility treatments and pregnancy loss.
Extra Perks: Cycle to Work Scheme, discounts on shops, restaurants, and gym memberships, free fresh fruit daily, and opportunities to join colleague networks and social groups.
Giving Back: One paid volunteering day annually and the Give-As-You-Earn scheme to support your favourite charities.
