Summary

What you'll do

As a not-for-profit housing organisation providing more affordable homes for Londoners, we're on a mission to work better together for our residents and make London home for those who live in our capital, whatever their personal circumstances.

We're excited to announce the launch of our brand new recruitment service, and we're now looking for a Head of Talent Acquisition to lead the delivery and ongoing support of this innovative function. In this role, you will develop and manage a dedicated team to ensure the service operates effectively and continues to evolve. This is a unique opportunity to drive the success of a newly established service, applying fresh techniques and innovative solutions to attract the best talent and help us deliver the best services to our residents.

If you're looking for the chance to make a genuine difference in a senior leadership position, this role could be for you.

The role

You'll be responsible for delivering the full talent acquisition service through effective team management and well executed projects and hiring strategies, excellent business relationships and efficient processes and budget administration.

You'll coach, empower and constructively challenge senior colleagues and the wider human resources team to ensure they play an active part in attracting and selecting high performing talent to the organisation. That will include ensuring that equality, diversity and inclusion and employer value proposition are at the core of every recruitment process and that you deliver an exceptional candidate experience.

Data will be key - you'll need to use it to enhance your team's impact and deliver recruitment efficiencies and provide clear market data to improve service, decision-making, cost efficiency and time to hire.

The ideal candidate

You'll have significant experience in talent acquisition and, most recently, in leading a team alongside a track record of aligning talent acquisition and management strategies with an organisation's overall goals and objectives.

Your understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing strategies and mechanisms will be deep and will include successful assessment approaches, onboarding, candidate experience and employer value proposition.

Demonstratable experience in working with external partners, driving headhunting strategies, market mapping, candidate engagement and long-term nurturing campaigns are additional core requirements as is a proven ability to engage and gain trust as a thought leader with diverse teams and leadership, based on expertise, experience, and a thorough understanding of the talent landscape.

A CIPD or REC qualification is desirable, but not essential.

What's in it for you?

Once you join us, you'll find plenty of opportunities to grow within our organisation. You'll also have access to a wide range of learning opportunities to help you achieve and maximise your potential.

Benefits include:

  • Excellent annual leave allowance and flexible working opportunities (qualifying period may apply)
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay in addition to statutory entitlements (qualifying period may apply)
  • Employee assistance - free confidential advice and counselling services provided by independent specialist organisations.
  • Health cash plan
  • Staff discounts - we give our staff access to discounts at hundreds of major retailers, gyms, restaurants, entertainment, days out, insurance, and much more.
  • Interest free loans - season ticket loan, tenancy deposit loan, and training loan
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Life Assurance x 4 annual salary
