A leading company in the aviation industry seeks a Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement and supply chain management. The role involves developing strategies, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with procurement standards. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in international procurement and strong leadership skills.
Business: As a member of the leadership team, develop, implement, and deliver the overall business strategy and budget.
Scope: Lead the Supply Chain team with responsibility for all Procurement and Supply Chain Management (SCM) tasks, including Stores, Dispatch & Logistics functions. Define and implement a robust SCM approach to support business goals. Lead a multi-functional procurement team, setting objectives, managing performance, and developing skills.
Fundamental: Create and embed a culture of High Performance across six pillars: Positive leadership, Continuous Improvement, Talent development, Stakeholder Management, Customer Focus, and Team collaboration.
Operate with integrity, uphold company values, follow policies, and implement internal controls. Solicit customer feedback, communicate technology impacts, and participate in professional development. Work on budgets, reports, and root cause analysis.
Experience in international procurement, supply chain management, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and project management. Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; professional procurement certification preferred.
Leadership, cross-cultural management, communication, process orientation, problem-solving, agility, resilience, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
5-10 years in global procurement, sourcing, and operational performance, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and managing supplier relationships.
Location: Cambridge preferred; willingness to travel internationally as needed.
