Job purpose

Business: As a member of the leadership team, develop, implement, and deliver the overall business strategy and budget.

Scope: Lead the Supply Chain team with responsibility for all Procurement and Supply Chain Management (SCM) tasks, including Stores, Dispatch & Logistics functions. Define and implement a robust SCM approach to support business goals. Lead a multi-functional procurement team, setting objectives, managing performance, and developing skills.

Fundamental: Create and embed a culture of High Performance across six pillars: Positive leadership, Continuous Improvement, Talent development, Stakeholder Management, Customer Focus, and Team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

1. Build and lead a team of procurement professionals to improve delivery, quality, cost, and compliance.
2. Foster a culture of procurement excellence, ensuring policy clarity and innovation.
3. Participate in Strategic Supply Chain Design and Category Strategy, leading operational SCM teams.
4. Develop supplier partnerships to achieve cost, quality, and delivery goals.
5. Identify and close gaps in functional competencies through organization design and training.
6. Ensure responsible procurement standards are upheld and represented in supplier agreements.
7. Establish standard work and drive KPI attainment.
8. Balance material supply with demand planning and apply cash management focus.
9. Lead development and implementation of a robust S&OP process.
10. Manage procurement lifecycle, contracts, and supplier relationships.
11. Maintain procurement dashboards and ensure compliance with legal and internal standards.

Compliance and Continuous Improvement

Operate with integrity, uphold company values, follow policies, and implement internal controls. Solicit customer feedback, communicate technology impacts, and participate in professional development. Work on budgets, reports, and root cause analysis.

Key Performance Indicators and Challenges

• Team efficiency, spend control, supplier performance, cost reduction, cash preservation, and spend analysis.
• Managing multi-faceted roles, international cultural considerations, systems implementation, and complex projects.

Knowledge, Education, Skills, and Experience

Experience in international procurement, supply chain management, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and project management. Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; professional procurement certification preferred.

Skills and Competencies

Professional Experience

5-10 years in global procurement, sourcing, and operational performance, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and managing supplier relationships.
