Head of Supply Chain - Sofa Club

Salary: c£75,000 + plus competitive bonus

Location: Hybrid - Requirement to be on site at Hertford on Mondays and ad hoc travel to Swindon warehouse as needed.

To support its ambitions, Sofa Club seeks an experienced Supply Chain professional to lead Supply Chain Operations and Final Mile Logistics in collaboration with its 3PL partner.

Working closely with the directors, the Head of Supply Chain will ensure performance excellence, maintain stock integrity, and deliver outstanding customer experiences. This is an opportunity to take charge of an integral part of the business, working alongside an ambitious team to drive commercial growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• 3PL Oversight: Manage the 3PL partnership, ensuring KPIs and service agreements are met or exceeded.
• Delivery Operations: Oversee 2 person delivery services across the UK.
• Stock Management: Safeguard stock worth £5m+ with accurate tracking, insightful reporting and robust processes.
• Strategic Planning: Anticipate challenges, plan capacity, and optimise operations for efficiency.
• Leadership: Provide leadership to the supply chain team and work collaboratively across the senior leadership structure.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive cost savings and operational enhancements.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments to align operations with business goals.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Proven experience managing large-scale 3PL contracts.
• Strong leadership in logistics and warehouse operations.
• Able to demonstrate what it takes to scale a supply chain and operations function successfully in a high-growth business.
• A strategic mindset with a focus on cost control and operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence and capability to take full ownership and accountability of Supply Chain Operations.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain technology, systems and solutions and tech's role in enabling supply chain excellence.
