Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking a Head of Subsystems to lead development and delivery into service for Sea Ceptor platform equipment. The role requires strategic leadership across multiple development programs, ensuring safety, design authority leadership, and timely, cost-effective delivery.

You will manage subsystem design, interface with electronics and software teams, and support bids while driving product evolution across Sea Ceptor family.

Qualifications

• Delivery of complex work packages and risk & opportunity management.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strategic thinking to evolve product across multiple contracts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver subsystem Certificates of Design and oversee Design Authorities.
• Lead Design Authorities to deliver on time, cost and quality across programs.
• Manage mid-life updates and obsolescence, supporting in-service queries.
• Ensure Subsystem Safety and cohesion across all subsystems feeding these deliverables.
• Guide new bids for subsystems and align with Sea Ceptor product lines.
