Job summary

Computershare in the UK seeks a Head of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to lead and evolve global reliability across our technology landscape. Based in Bristol or Edinburgh with a hybrid model, you will work a minimum of three days per week in the office and have flexibility to work from home.

The role reports to the Global Head of Technology Operations and focuses on driving operational excellence, automated resilience, and embedded SRE practices across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and leading SRE or Production Engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of SRE: SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, toil reduction.
• Extensive automation experience with scripting languages and IaC tools.
• Experience with observability tooling (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
• CI/CD familiarity: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
• Cloud certifications in relevant technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of SRE principles (SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction).
• Establish observability and monitoring standards.
• Lead automation-first operations.
• Improve incident and problem management maturity.
• Partner with software and infrastructure engineering teams to embed reliability into the product lifecycle.
• Establish SRE governance, standards, and operating model.
