Job summary

Leo Recruitment Limited seeks a Head of Programme Delivery to lead a team of Project Managers in Poole, Dorset, with hybrid working. The role involves governance, complex software delivery, and aligning customer requirements with technical delivery. Salary up to £80,000 DOE + Benefits.

The successful candidate will drive delivery across multiple customer programmes and collaborate with Product, Software Development and Business Analysis teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Substantial programme or project leadership experience within a software development, SaaS or software product business.
• Experience leading, managing and developing Project Managers rather than delivering programmes as an individual contributor.
• Strong understanding of configurable software solutions, system integrations, APIs, SDKs and the dependencies involved in end‑to‑end implementation.
• Ability to understand how software components, third‑party systems and customer environments connect without being a hands‑on developer.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers, creating clarity, accountability and strong delivery standards.
• Oversee multiple complex software implementation, configuration and integration programmes from initiation through to successful delivery.
• Understand how customer requirements translate into configured software solutions, including integrations and dependencies.
• Work with customers, Product, Software Development, Business Analysis and internal teams to align requirements, priorities and delivery expectations.
• Identify risks early, challenge assumptions and ensure dependencies are understood and managed.
• Bring structure and control to programmes affected by ambiguity or changing priorities.
• Provide clear, accurate reporting to customers and senior leaders while improving delivery practices.
