Job summary

Stratospherec Ltd in Horsham (West Sussex) is seeking an experienced Software Delivery Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead multiple client-facing software development and implementation projects for a global fintech platform. The role combines office time in Horsham with two days remote per week.

You will oversee projects from initiation to closure, align with contract terms, manage budgets and risks, and collaborate with clients, partners and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering IT services to Tier 1 UK Financial Services or similar organisations.
• Experience managing large-scale projects through full lifecycle in regulated environments.
• Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget with high quality.
• Strong business analysis, scoping, and estimating capabilities.
• Knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies and SDLC.

Responsibilities

Software Delivery Manager / Senior Project Manager role

Hybrid working in Horsham, West Sussex offices.

We are proud to be recruiting for a Global Fintech software company with lovely offices in Horsham who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to work three days in office and two days remote per week in this new PM role.

We are looking for a Software Delivery Manager / Senior Project Manager to work on multiple client facing software development or software implementation projects for their Fintech software platform which has been a market leader for many years. A background of working in Financial Services in the past and also experience delivering complex software projects will be required for this role.

As a Software PM you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of software projects from start to finish, managing projects on a concurrent basis while working heavily with clients to ensure the successful delivery of these projects to time and to budget.

Main responsibilities

• Produce and maintain clear project schedules, track progress and adhere to established company ITIL / 27001 processes.
• Deliver the project in accordance with the terms of the contract, seeking guidance from legal where appropriate in consultation with the client success manager. If required, identify, escalated and support the management of contractual issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Agree the project quality standards and processes with the customer and other stakeholders and ensure that the outputs and services meet or exceed the defined standards.
• Identify the resource requirements set against business needs and the project plan and bid for those resources early in the planning cycle.
• Implement program / project risk and issue management and engage appropriate stakeholders to ensure effective ownership and action. Actively manage and elevate, where required, in a timely manner.
• Implement change management, ensuring effective ownership and action as required.
• Deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive progress reports and communications to provide full project visibility to the stakeholders and their various requirements.
• Organise project reviews and ensure that lessons are learned and included in continuous improvement activities.
• Build and manage relationships and dependencies across the delivery team, the client, partners and suppliers.
• Clearly identify and manage any supplier/partner deliverables and associated contracts, taking appropriate action to ensure deliverables are met.
• Create a trusting team environment where there is open communication, the team is clear on their individual and collective responsibilities and are fully engaged and supported as necessary.
• Provide supervision for other project management resources within a larger program of work.
• Make proactive suggestions to the Leadership Team relating to the improvement of delivery and associated processes.
• As part of your role, you will be expected to share your knowledge with your team and other colleagues ensuring that the business is supported through its succession planning activities.
• Support the Business Development team in developing business growth opportunities.
• In addition to the above, you will be expected to perform other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience of delivering IT services to multiple Tier 1 UK Financial Services or similar organisations.
• Proven experience of managing projects with significant scale and complexity in regulated environments through the full project lifecycle with internal and/or external clients.
• A track record of consistently delivering projects on time, on budget, and to high quality.
• Strong business analysis, project scoping, and estimating experience
• Good understanding of project management methodologies, governance procedures and the software development lifecycle with demonstrable experience of having effectively applied agile and waterfall project management principles successfully.
• Experience of managing UK based multi-site projects leveraging both UK based and globally dispersed project teams.
• Strong familiarity with project management and software development software tools, methodologies, and best practice.
• Producing required content for successfully billing customers.
