Job summary

Leo Recruitment Limited is seeking a Head of Programme Delivery for a permanent, full‑time role in the UK. You will lead a capable PM team delivering multi‑customer software programmes with complex configurations and integrations.

You'll need deep software knowledge to connect components, APIs and third‑party systems, manage risks, and align stakeholders while driving delivery momentum in a growing tech business. Hybrid work available.

Qualifications

• Substantial programme or project leadership experience within a software development, SaaS or software product business.
• Experience leading, managing and developing Project Managers rather than solely delivering programmes as an individual contributor.
• Strong understanding of configurable software solutions, system integrations, APIs, SDKs and the dependencies in end‑to‑end implementation.
• Ability to understand how software components, third‑party systems and customer environments connect without being a hands‑on developer.
• Proven record of delivering complex, customer‑facing software programmes with multiple stakeholders.
• Judgement to diagnose delivery problems, challenge constructively and bring clarity amid ambiguity or shifting priorities.
• Strong customer communication, commercial awareness and balancing customer requirements with technical realities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers, creating clarity and strong delivery standards.
• Oversee multiple complex software implementation, configuration and integration programmes from initiation to delivery.
• Translate customer requirements into configured software solutions, including integrations and dependencies.
• Work closely with customers, Product, Software Development and Business Analysis to align requirements and priorities.
• Identify risks early, challenge assumptions and manage dependencies.
• Bring structure and control to programmes affected by ambiguity or changing priorities.
• Provide clear reporting to customers and senior leaders while improving delivery practices.
