Kier Group is seeking a Head of Site Engineering for the STEP Fusion Programme based at West Burton. The role is hybrid with travel, reporting into the IPT5 engineering leadership to ensure design intent aligns with delivery and governance across the site.

The ideal candidate is a Chartered Engineer with substantial senior experience on safety-critical projects, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating across organisations to maintain system integrity.

Qualificações

• Degree-level qualification in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, systems, nuclear or related field.
• Chartered Engineer with an appropriate professional institution.
• Substantial experience as technical authority or senior engineering leader on complex, safety-critical programmes.
• Knowledge of governance, assurance, design maturity and change control in large infra projects.
• Ability to lead multi-organisation, matrixed teams and obtain security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Act as technical controlling mind and site engineering authority for West Burton.
• Lead end-to-end technical integration across civil works, structures, utilities, site layout and interfaces.
• Establish governance, review arrangements and assurance plans.
• Champion safe-by-design and health-by-design principles, reducing hazards and communicating residual risks.
• Build and develop a multidisciplinary site engineering capability and represent IPT5 in governance forums.
