Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a Head of Service to lead the UK service and engineering function from Leeds. You will oversee a team of service engineers and subcontractors across service, maintenance, installation, upgrade, rebuild and commissioning work. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, the ability to allocate resources and maintain client relationships while driving growth.

Location: Leeds. Salary £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience leading UK-wide service operations
• Ability to plan engineer workloads and field activities
• Strong stakeholder management and customer liaison abilities

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of UK service operations and day-to-day delivery.
• Plan and schedule engineers, workloads and field activities.
• Allocate resources effectively and manage changing priorities.
• Monitor engineer utilisation, service performance and response times.
• Manage reactive and emergency breakdown requirements.
• Ensure service records, reports and engineer timekeeping are accurate.
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage site activities and project progress.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments.
• Estimate labour, material and engineering requirements.
• Monitor service profitability and margins.
• Identify opportunities for service contracts, upgrades and business.
