Walker and Sloan are working with a full-service marketing agency in Bath, seeking to appoint a Head of SEO on a full-time basis.

Location: Bath UK, Hybrid working

Job Type: Permanent

About the role:

SEO Head responsibilities

  • Initiate, advise, and collaborate on digital campaigns for our client base
  • Develop engagement strategies
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly reviews
  • Create and implement SEO strategies
  • Achieve organic search optimisation and ROI maximisation

Definition of KPIs

  • Create and present SEO and email reports and dashboards with clear communication and actionable insights
  • Identify customer personas to target audiences effectively
  • Identify problems and implement timely solutions
  • Support the wider team to create efficiencies within service lines and delivery
  • Provide SEO input to website projects, collaborating with UX, design, and development teams
  • Collaborate with teams including Social, Client Services, Creative, and Web Developers
  • Work with the broader AUK team on internal strategy planning and pitch work
Departmental responsibilities:

Digital Media Support: Understand and refer to client activity plans, demonstrating comprehensive understanding of client objectives, and deploying digital strategies to meet those objectives.

Campaign Planning: Develop effective digital campaigns with your team and other departments, using analytics and industry tools to evaluate results.

Knowledge Management: Develop knowledge of client businesses, objectives, and sectors to make informed recommendations and proactive tactics.

Client Relationships: Assist senior team members in responding to SEO-related client queries.

Reporting and Information Sharing: Ensure timely, accurate reporting of campaigns and share learnings to optimise future efforts.

Account Profitability: Support your team in maintaining profitability through accurate time and service level recording.

  • Work closely with the technical development team
Agency services:
  • Team Following: Be proactive, positive, and energised, earning trust and collaboration from colleagues.
  • Internal Communication: Develop strong relationships across departments.
  • Account Administration: Manage client and agency information systems effectively.
  • Agency Profile: Help develop and promote AUK’s profile within the industry via relevant social channels.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years SEO management experience
  • Experience across sectors like healthcare, B2B, FMCG
  • Award recognitions including The Drum Recommends and D&AD Pencil
