Head of Sales – Foreign Exchange (FX)

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Our client is a leading provider of institutional FX and multi-asset trading solutions, offering bespoke currency risk management, execution technology, and data services to hedge funds, banks, corporates, and FinTechs. With an outstanding reputation in the financial markets space, they are continuing to scale rapidly, driven by innovation, strategic insight, and a strong commitment to service excellence.

The Role

Our client is seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Senior Business Development Manager to join their London office. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone with deep FX market experience who can confidently lead enterprise-level sales cycles across the financial sector.

You will be responsible for originating and closing new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and playing a key role in the firm’s revenue growth across EMEA. You’ll be selling into a sophisticated client base with complex, multi-jurisdictional needs—so the ability to navigate financial services ecosystems and sell consultatively is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition across FX and multi-asset trading solutions, targeting institutional clients (buyside, sell-side, corporates, FinTechs)
  • Build and maintain a self-generated pipeline, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closing
  • Lead high-value, complex sales engagements—often involving multiple stakeholders and long cycles
  • Deliver tailored, value-led sales pitches aligned to client trading, compliance, and technology needs
  • Attend and speak at industry events, roundtables, and conferences to promote the brand and generate leads
  • Work cross-functionally with internal product, legal, compliance, and onboarding teams to deliver a seamless client journey
  • Keep abreast of macroeconomic trends, FX market developments, and competitive intelligence to maintain a consultative sales approach
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and report accurately on pipeline performance and forecasting metrics

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in FX sales, trading technology, or financial data/platform sales
  • Strong track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets in a solution-led sales environment
  • Proven ability to manage full sales cycle across complex institutional accounts
  • Deep understanding of FX markets and multi-asset trading infrastructure
  • Comfortable selling to C-suite, Heads of Trading, Portfolio Managers, and Treasury teams
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and confident working in a hybrid, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluent English required; additional languages a plus
