Job description

UBT Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a reputable, family-run business based in South Wales. Our client, a supplier of high-quality flooring and accessories, is recruiting a Head of Sales to join their team.

The purpose of this role is to assist in building the 5-year strategic plan with specific channel strategies. As Head of Sales, you will develop a strategic sales plan to enhance the company's brand presence in the marketplace, promoting revenue, profitability, and growth across the UK. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets by coaching, mentoring, and growing the sales team to expand regional markets and identify new opportunities.

This is a remote role covering the UK, with travel approximately 4 times per week.

Duties:
  1. Coaching & mentoring the sales team.
  2. Forecasting annually and quarterly, monitoring performance metrics.
  3. Developing a sales plan aligned with business goals.
  4. Reviewing sales team activities to ensure alignment with targets.
  5. Ensuring the team achieves their potential.
  6. Using sales data to stay updated on market trends and customer needs.
  7. Creating account plans for larger clients.
  8. Building strong relationships with decision makers.
  9. Networking with key stakeholders.
  10. Applying Pareto analysis to maintain and grow top accounts.
  11. Presenting company reports at Director meetings.
  12. Contributing to company KPIs and business plans.
  13. Monitoring competitive activities within major accounts.
  14. Promoting disciplined CRM and administrative practices.
  15. Delivering sales presentations to major accounts.
  16. Aligning with strategic pricing policies and reviewing them as needed.
  17. Negotiating with decision makers to emphasize value over price.
  18. Establishing and maintaining strategic alliances.
  19. Creating sales strategies in collaboration with the team.
  20. Working closely with senior management for business improvement.
