Job summary

OxfordQuantumCircuits is seeking a Head of RF Devices to drive the development of RF systems for quantum processors. You will lead a team at the intersection of RF engineering and quantum hardware, managing the design and scaling of RF architectures vital for qubit performance.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in RF simulation and design applied to complex hardware systems.
  • Strong experience with finite element modelling tools for RF systems.
  • Experience working with superconducting quantum devices or related cryogenic RF systems.
  • Experience designing RF PCBs and passive RF components.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and guide engineering programmes.
  • Ability to communicate complex RF information across teams.
  • Experience with programming for modelling and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of RF engineers developing components for quantum processors.
  • Define RF design strategies for scalable superconducting qubit systems.
  • Oversee development of RF simulation infrastructure linking design parameters to quantum metrics.
  • Establish methodologies for RF simulation and documentation.
  • Guide development of RF components and integration with device physics.
  • Lead analysis and interpretation of RF simulations and experimental data.
  • Deliver rapid screening of designs against performance metrics.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to expand RF capabilities.
