Job summary

Universal Quantum Ltd. is seeking an experienced RF – System Designer to lead design and architecture for a bespoke RF delivery system, including cables and transmission lines.

You will define specifications, oversee RF design from concept through validation, and collaborate with RF, electronics, ASIC/chip, mechanical, software engineers and physicists to deliver advanced quantum technologies. You will expand your expertise across engineering domains, contribute to rapid proofs of concept, and

Qualifications

• Around 5-10 years of practical experience in RF System and/or circuit design.
• Strong understanding of RF hardware design principles.
• Expertise in developing and executing test plans for complex RF systems.
• Knowledge of low noise design techniques and testing low noise RF systems.
• Demonstrated success in bringing RF subsystem designs to market.
• Proficiency with FEA and simulation tools, especially Ansys HFSS, CST and ADS.
• Experience working with suppliers and contractors.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a team player.
• A minimum of a 2.1 BEng/BSc Degree in System or Electronics Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and architecture activities for a custom RF delivery system including cables and transmission lines.
• Define specifications and trade-offs for key building blocks of the end-to-end RF delivery system
• Oversee all RF aspects of design, simulation, integration, verification, and validation testing.
• Expand your expertise across various engineering domains.
• Collaborate with RF team members, electronics engineers, ASIC/chip designers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists to achieve common goals.
• Ensure the use of innovative RF solutions.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, risk management and progress reporting.
• Contribute to rapid proof-of-concept developments and feasibility discussions.
