Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Manager, Field Engineering (Data and AI) in the United Kingdom to lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects focused on strategic accounts, with a special emphasis on Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods. The role involves partnering with sales teams to drive platform adoption and revenue growth while coaching new team members to work together.

You will report to the Director, Field Engineering and help scale the team, influence GTM strategies, and build Databricks'

Qualifications

• AI native mindset and ability to leverage AI to boost team productivity.
• Experience leading a pre-sales team of Big Data/AI/Cloud professionals.
• Customer-facing experience in UK&I, preferably in Retail/CPG sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage hiring, onboarding and building your Pre-Sales Solutions Architect team.
• Rapidly scale the designated team when needed without sacrificing quality.
• Lead by example using AI to improve day-to-day workflows and team output.
• Promote a customer-obsessed, value-based selling culture within a rapid-growth team.
• Support increased consumption revenue through active involvement in sales cycles.
