Job summary

Leeds United is seeking an experienced Head of Payroll to lead the club's end-to-end payroll operation across the organisation and Foundation. Reporting to the CFO, you will manage payrolls for over 2,000 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.

You will oversee complex football payroll arrangements, liaise with finance, HR and operations, and uphold governance and control standards. The role requires leadership of payroll processes in a fast-paced, professional sport

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing a complex in-house payroll function.
• Experience overseeing multiple payrolls and PAYE entities.
• Experience processing payroll for large and diverse employee populations.
• Experience managing payroll compliance, reporting, and governance.
• Experience supervising payroll team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of monthly payrolls across multiple PAYE entities.
• Oversee payroll processing for permanent staff, football staff, management, casual workers, and Foundation employees.
• Ensure payroll activity is accurate and within deadlines.
• Supervise and support the Payroll Administrator.
• Manage RTI submissions and statutory payments.
