Job summary

The Seam in London is seeking a Head of Operations to own the systems, processes and people that enable scalable growth. You will oversee logistics, service delivery and a distributed Maker network, working closely with the Founder & CEO to drive performance and international expansion.

You’ll lead a small but growing operations team, build robust playbooks, and partner with product and marketing to deliver a best-in-class marketplace experience for retailers and customers alike.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in operations, logistics or marketplace businesses.
• Experience managing distributed or multi-location service networks.
• Track record of improving operational efficiency and unit economics.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working with data and operational metrics.
• Marketplace or logistics platforms experience.
• Managing freelance or contractor networks.
• Experience in early-stage or high-growth startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end service delivery across D2C and retail partnerships.
• Build systems and processes to support national and international growth.
• Oversee logistics infrastructure and partner rollouts.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in margins and turnover.
• Lead and develop the operations team and collaborate with product/marketing.
• Contribute to overall company strategy and scaling plans.
