Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a senior operations leader to oversee a large field service operation and multiple locations, ensuring high-quality delivery across maintenance, compliance, installation and construction activities.

The role focuses on budgeting, resource planning and performance monitoring, with strong leadership to develop teams and ensure regulatory and safety standards are met. Based in Edinburgh with national responsibilities.

Qualifications

Senior operational leadership experience in engineering services or related sectors.
Experience managing nationwide field-based engineering or technical teams.
Knowledge of budgeting, resource allocation and cost management.
NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all operational delivery functions across the business including a large field service operation.
Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across maintenance, compliance, installation and construction activities.
Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and cost management within the operations department.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators including utilisation, productivity, response times, first-time fix rates, project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Lead, develop and motivate operational teams across multiple locations.
Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
Oversee workforce planning and resource allocation across field engineering and project teams.
