Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee multiple high-rise residential projects across social housing, driving delivery, safety and quality across a regional portfolio.

The role requires leading Project Managers and site teams, ensuring on-time, within-budget outcomes while maximising value and managing contractual risks. A strategic leader with strong stakeholder management is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior operations roles within construction.
• Deliver high-rise residential projects, including social housing/regeneration.
• Experience managing multi-million pound project portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and project controls.
• Demonstrable leadership of large operational teams.
• Commercially astute with contractual/financial performance focus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance.
• Relevant construction qualification or degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of multiple high-rise residential projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Manage and support Project Managers, Contracts Managers and site-based teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Drive programme performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain strong relationships with housing associations, local authorities, consultants and subcontractors.
• Oversee resource planning and allocation across multiple projects.
• Support commercial teams to maximise profitability and manage contractual risks.
• Monitor project performance, implementing corrective action where required.
• Champion health, safety, quality and environmental best practice across all operations.
• Contribute to business planning, growth initiatives and operational strategy.
