Position: Head of Nursery, Renfrew Street (Term Time)


Location:
256 Renfrew Street, Glasgow, G3 6TT

About the Role:

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management and leadership of the nursery, ensuring effective service delivery. You will lead the setting and showcase of best practices, supporting the professional development of nursery team members.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver an inclusive and diverse early years' service.
  • Develop and support a team to meet the needs of children and the service, fostering collegiate practice and teamwork.
  • Ensure high-quality curriculum delivery and development to raise attainment.
  • Analyze service delivery and plan proactively for future needs, aligning with local and national requirements.
  • Collaborate with other establishments and stakeholders to improve outcomes and support family wellbeing and learning.
  • Support the wellbeing of children, parents/carers, and nursery staff.

What We Seek:
  • Confident, motivated, with strong relationship-management skills and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication skills with leadership and influencing abilities at a senior level.
  • Knowledge and experience of children's curriculum, learning, and development at early levels.
  • Commitment to inclusion and diversity, with awareness of relevant legislation.
  • BA Childhood Practice or equivalent qualification is essential.

  • Annual term-time salary ranging from £46,253.35 to £53,695.53.
  • Flexible 35-hour workweek on a rota basis between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm during term time.
