Position: Head of Nursery, Renfrew Street (Term Time)

Location: 256 Renfrew Street, Glasgow, G3 6TT

Are you an experienced Early Years professional looking for the next step in your career? We’re seeking an enthusiastic and confident Head of Nursery for a term-time position in Glasgow’s North West. We will support you to inspire the development and learning of our youngest learners and help you manage a well-established, friendly, and successful nursery.

About the Role: You will oversee the daily management and leadership of the nursery, ensuring the effective delivery of services. You will set and showcase best practices, fostering the development of nursery team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver an inclusive and diverse early years’ service effectively.
  • Lead, develop, and support a team to meet the needs of children and the service, promoting collegiate practice and teamwork.
  • Ensure high-quality curriculum delivery and development to raise attainment, supporting the nursery management team.
  • Analyze service delivery, proactively planning for future needs and aligning with local and national requirements.
  • Collaborate with other establishments and stakeholders to improve outcomes and support family wellbeing and learning.
  • Support the wellbeing of children, parents/carers, and nursery staff.

What We Seek:

  • Confident, highly motivated, with strong relationship-management skills and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating leadership and influencing qualities at a senior level.
  • Knowledge and experience of children’s curriculum, learning, and development at early levels.
  • Commitment to supporting inclusion and diversity, with awareness of current legislation.
  • BA Childhood Practice or an equivalent qualification is essential.

What We Offer:

  • Annual term-time salary ranging from £46,253.35 to £53,695.53.
  • 35 hours per week, flexibly worked on a rota basis between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm during term time.
