Job summary

The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) invites applications for Director of Membership and Professional Development to lead the Membership, CIH Housing Academy and Awarding Organisation, and the Professional Services function. You will ensure our offer is high quality, commercially sustainable and responsive to housing sector needs.

Based in Coventry with hybrid home/office arrangements, you will travel across the UK to engage members, develop accredited education and training, and drive

Qualifications

• Experience in membership, professional services or education and training.
• Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of housing, professional standards, regulation, and higher education/ accreditation or online/blended learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead Membership, Education (CIH Housing Academy) and Professional Services functions.
• Ensure offerings are high quality, commercially sustainable and sector-responsive.
• Provide strategic leadership and stakeholder relationship management across the UK and Ireland.
• Contribute to the Corporate Plan and CIH governance while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Inspire teams, develop education and training programs, and uphold CIH Professional Standards.
