Job summary

CILIP, the UK’s library and information professionals body, is seeking a Director of Membership to lead membership, communities and partnerships, events and awards, communications and customer services. The role is remote with regular travel across the UK and a 35-hour working week in a full-time, permanent arrangement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a membership organisation, professional body, charity or similar environment.
• Track record of growing membership, improving retention or increasing engagement.
• Strong financial judgement and ability to use data to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across membership, communities and partnerships, events and awards, communications and marketing, and customer services.
• Develop and implement a membership strategy focused on reversing declines, renewing memberships and improving member experience.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with volunteers, committees and senior stakeholders.
