Job summary

The National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty seeks a Senior Facilities Manager to oversee facilities management across its portfolio, including Charlecote Park and related properties. The role leads a team, manages maintenance programmes, budgets, and ensures compliance and safety across assets.

You’ll work with contractors and internal teams to plan investments, drive improvements, and deliver exceptional experiences while safeguarding historic buildings and landscapes.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, asset and maintenance management with IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent.
• Knowledge of compliance, risk management, health and safety regulations.
• Experience developing risk assessments, safety procedures and emergency plans.
• Understanding of building fabric, maintenance and conservation principles.
• Strategic and commercial acumen including budget, procurement and supplier management.
• Experience leading high-performing teams and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of building fabric and conservation interrelations.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of facilities management across a portfolio of properties.
• Oversee operation, maintenance and performance of built assets.
• Develop and lead teams of staff and volunteers, ensuring motivated delivery.
• Manage maintenance programmes, budgets, projects, contractors and suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement in facilities and operations.
• Provide leadership on risk, compliance and asset management.
• Support wider property leadership and planning as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
