Job summary
Matillion is looking for a Director of Engineering Productivity & Operations to lead how our engineering organisation builds, delivers and operates the Maia platform, owning the strategy and execution behind the productivity agenda.
You will run the roadmap for shared platforms (CI/CD, release automation, observability) and the engineering operating rhythm, with a strong focus on cost, metrics and vendor management.
Qualifications
- Significant engineering leadership experience in SaaS/cloud DevOps or engineering productivity
- Practical understanding of AI-assisted/agentic software development leadership
- Experience running engineering operations with outcome-based metrics
- Hands-on cloud cost management, vendor/contract management, technical procurement
- Excellent communication and commercial judgement with stakeholders across orgs
Responsibilities
- Set and lead the engineering productivity strategy across planning, coding, testing, review and deployment
- Own the roadmap for shared engineering platforms including CI/CD, release automation and observability
- Run the engineering operating rhythm and a metrics framework for delivery, quality, reliability and cost
- Lead engineering FinOps and cloud cost optimisation with forecasting and savings
- Manage the tooling portfolio end-to-end in partnership with Finance, Procurement, Legal and Security
