Job summary

Matillion, founded in Manchester and now global, seeks a Director of Product Management to own strategy and end-to-end execution for a core product area. You will balance direct product work with building and leading a team of Product Managers, shaping a multi-quarter roadmap and driving commercial outcomes.

Partnering with Engineering, Design, GTM and Marketing, you will align technical strategy, shipping priorities and market needs, while raising the bar across the team and the data ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years in product management with relevant senior leadership.
• 3+ years directly managing Product Managers.
• Track record shipping and scaling B2B products end to end.
• Hands-on exposure to data ecosystems and AI tool usage.
• Systems thinker balancing craft, speed and impact at scale.
• Excellent communication with executives and senior customers.

Responsibilities

• Own a product area end to end and define multi-quarter roadmaps with trade-offs.
• Retain direct ownership: write specs, run discovery, and make product calls.
• Set and enforce quality bar across the team and stakeholder alignment.
• Understand market needs across data engineering, analytics and platform personas.
• Build and lead the Product Managers team and establish operating rhythm.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Design, GTM and Marketing.
