Job summary

Matillion, the AI Data Automation company behind Maia, seeks a Director of Product Management in Manchester to own strategy and execution for a core data product area, while building and leading a PM team. You’ll partner with Engineering, Design, GTM and Customer Success to anticipate shipping needs and translate learnings into the nextBuild.

The role demands 10+ years in product management, 3+ years leading PMs, and a proven track record shipping B2B products.

Qualifications

10+ years in product management, incl. 3+ years leading PMs.
Track record shipping and scaling B2B products end to end.
Proven people leadership experience.
Hands-on exposure to data ecosystem for credible trade-offs.
Systems thinker balancing craft, speed and commercial impact.
Deep data literacy and evidence-based decision making.
Experience using AI tools to accelerate product work.
Excellent communication with execs and customers.
Comfort handling commercial pressure while leading teams.

Responsibilities

Own a product area end to end: define strategy, multi-quarter roadmap, prioritisation and resourcing with accountable commercial outcomes.
Stay hands-on: write specs, run discovery, make product calls directly.
Set and enforce the quality bar: define viable capability and push back when not ready.
Understand market and users across data engineering, analytics and platform personas.
Build and lead the PM team, establish operating rhythm and standards.
Drive cross-functional and executive alignment with Engineering, Design, GTM and Success teams.
