Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our electronics design and manufacturing team in the North West. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on engineering, guiding six engineers across electronic design, FPGA development and production engineering while partnering with the MD to shape technical direction.

You'll drive capability development, ensure quality standards such as IPC610, AS9100 and ISO13485 are met, mentor staff, and maintain strong customer

Qualifications

• Experience leading electronics design and manufacturing teams.
• Strong knowledge of IPC610, AS9100 and ISO13485 quality standards.
• Hands-on leader who mentors engineers and drives delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function across R&D, electronic design, FPGA development and production engineering.
• Engage with customers at all stages of product development.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing to ensure smooth design-to-production transition (DFM).
• Lead from the front and mentor a 6-person engineering team.
