Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an Engineering Manager to own and drive the engineering function. The role covers electronics design, PCB layout and production engineering, leading a team of six engineers while collaborating with the Managing Director to shape technical direction.

You will work hands-on daily, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality delivery from concept to manufacturing across diverse sectors including scientific research and aerospace.

Qualifications

• Electronics design or R&D background with leadership experience.
• Experience leading a diverse engineering team (electronics design, PCB layout, production engineering).
• Strong stakeholder management across sales, quality and production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function, including R&D, electronic design, FPGA development and production engineering.
• Engage with customers at all stages of product development.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing to ensure smooth design-to-production transfer (DFM).
• Ensure adherence to IPC610, AS9100 and ISO13485 quality standards.
• Lead from the front and mentor the team to solve problems.
