Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an Engineering Manager to own and shape the electronics engineering function. You will lead a team of six engineers across electronic design and production engineering, guiding concept to production and mentoring staff.

Based in the North West, you will work with the Managing Director to set direction, drive quality standards (IPC610, AS9100, ISO13485) and ensure robust DFM processes across projects for scientific, medical robotics, marine, aerospace and defence

Qualifications

• Experience leading electronics design or R&D teams.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple functions.
• Familiarity with IPC610, AS9100 and ISO13485 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function, including electronic design and production engineering.
• Engage with customers at all stages of product development.
• Provide technical guidance to manufacturing to ensure smooth design-to-production transitions (DFM).
• Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards and drive hands-on leadership.
