First Point Group is partnering with a world-leading engineering and design consultancy to recruit a senior electrical lead for its UK data centre practice. The role is to shape the practice, win and lead work with major data centre clients, and set the electrical design standard across a high-profile project pipeline.

Qualifications

• Must have a Chartered electrical engineer designation (CEng, MIET).
• Strong consultancy background with senior electrical design leadership in data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Deep knowledge of HV/MV/LV power distribution, resilience architectures and backup power.
• Proven ability to win work and lead client relationships in the data centre market.
• Experience leading, mentoring or building engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical discipline across the UK data centre practice.
• Own electrical design governance, technical assurance and standards.
• Drive business development with hyperscalers, colocation providers and developers.
• Recruit, develop and lead a UK electrical team as the practice scales.
• Stay close to engineering with hands-on delivery on key projects.
• Act as a trusted technical adviser to clients and senior stakeholders.
