The client is hiring a commercially minded Head of eCommerce for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This senior leadership role focuses on accelerating the DTC business through online strategy, trading performance, and customer experience, with fully remote work and travel to Derbyshire once a month.

You will own the end-to-end eCommerce strategy, P&L, forecasting, and digital trading calendar, while driving CRM, retention and CRO.

We’re partnering with The client to hire a commercially minded Head of eCommerce for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a senior leadership role focused on accelerating The client’s direct-to-consumer (DTC) business through ownership of online commercial strategy, digital trading performance, and customer experience. The position is fully remote, with travel to Derbyshire expected once a month.

In this role, you will own and deliver the overall eCommerce strategy aligned with wider commercial objectives. You will take full responsibility for online revenue, profitability, forecasting, and trading performance, and lead the digital trading calendar to ensure campaigns and promotions maximise commercial results. You will also drive customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value using data-led decision making, while developing and executing the digital commerce roadmap to identify opportunities for sustainable online growth.

You will develop and optimise CRM, lifecycle, and retention programmes to increase repeat purchase and customer engagement, using analytics and customer insights to improve conversion rate, average order value, and overall website performance. The ideal candidate will have experience leading an eCommerce or D2C function in a consumer-facing business, with a strong commercial background that includes ownership of online P&L and revenue targets. You should have demonstrable success driving digital trading and online growth, experience with CRM and retention programmes, strong CRO and website optimisation knowledge, and highly analytical skills to use data to influence commercial decisions, alongside an engaging leadership style that can coach teams and build relationships across business functions.
