Job summary

Places Leisure, part of Places for People, is seeking a Head of Operational Optimisation to lead data-led resource management and cost control across multiple sites. You will improve labour planning, scheduling and forecasting to ensure the right colleagues and resources are in the right place at the right time to deliver strategic goals.

You will work closely with operational leaders, Finance and central teams to identify efficiencies, reduce spend and develop robust cost models for informed

Qualifications

• Significant experience in labour planning, workforce management or operational efficiency in a multi-site organisation.
• Proven ability to forecast demand and translate it into practical labour plans and costs.
• Experience analysing P&L drivers and turning findings into action plans.
• Practical use of time-and-motion methods or similar approaches to assess activity, capacity and efficiency.
• Advanced Excel/Power BI skills to build models and reporting for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of data-led resource planning and cost-management across Places Leisure.
• Improve labour planning, scheduling and forecasting to ensure the right people and resources are in the right place.
• Identify efficiencies, reduce avoidable spend and build robust cost models to support investment decisions.
