Job summary

The Fragrance Shop is hiring a Head of Data & AI to lead its data, analytics and AI journey from the Trafford Park office. You will own the data strategy, govern the data estate and drive practical AI opportunities across retail, ecommerce and marketing.

You will manage a Data team, set roadmaps, adopt robust engineering standards and partner with executives to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Substantial leadership experience in data engineering, analytics and data science.
• Proven ability to lead technical professionals and deliver through others.
• Strong SQL and Python capabilities with governance and security focus.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouses and multi-cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term data, analytics and AI strategy.
• Lead the Data team and shape analytics, data science and AI capability.
• Oversee data platform reliability, governance and security (Snowflake, Azure).
• Turn business challenges into data products and AI-enabled services.
• Partner with executives to present progress and value, balancing BAU and transformation.
